Verona Wine Top 2010 awards three premium products of the Zeni Winery!
Our Bardolino DOC Classico “Vigne Alte” 2009, Soave DOC Classico “Marogne” 2008 and Bardolino Chiaretto Spumante Brut 2009 are among the 104 best wines of Verona recently awarded at the 7th edition of the wine competition Verona Wine Top. The initiative, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Verona, has further confirmed the huge potential of Verona wines in terms of variety and quality. The 104 awarded labels will in fact be worldwide representative of all the DOC areas as well as of the exceptional wines that Verona is able to offer.

The 2010 edition of the International wine competition Decanter World Wine Awards assigned important awards to 4 premium wines of the Zeni Winery. The competition is one of the most prestigious international recognitions in the wine sector and is organized yearly by the authoritative British wine magazine “Decanter”.

ITALIA IN ROSA 2010 - Moniga del Garda & Lazise, June 5 – 6
Cantina Zeni will participate in the third edition of the rosé-wine-dedicated-event Italia in Rosa held this year on June 5 and 6 in two different locations: besides the exclusive location of "Villa Bertanzi's park, in Moniga del Garda (Brescia), the event will also be held at "Dogana Veneta", in Lazise, on the Veneto south eastern shore of Lake Garda. A ferry service will connect the two shores of the lake. The event, which is aimed at presenting and tasting the best Italian quality rosé-wines, is promoted by Moniga’s and Lazise town councils in collaboration with Consorzio Garda Classico DOC and Consorzio Tutela Vino Bardolino Doc. Wine Museum: official closing date of 2009 season
Saturday 31.October has been the official closing date of the 2009 season of Zeni Wine Museum. From 1 November 2009 to 14.March 2010 the whole range of Zeni wines and products will still be purchasable at the adjacent Selling Point of the Zeni Winery that remains open to the public during the following opening times: Monday to Friday 9-12 and 14-18.
The Museum will officially re-open to the public on Monday, March 15, 2010.

80° Festa Dell’uva e Del Vino Bardolino – Bardolino Grape and Wine Festival, 1-5 October 2009
A long thematic weekend during which both amateur wine enthusiasts and wine experts come together with the locals to celebrate the wine festival taking place along the shore of the lakeside town of Bardolino from 1. to 5. October. It’s a wine-dedicated festival coinciding with the harvest, whose main role is played by the local wine producers who will be present at the many stands located along the shore of Lake Garda to present their wines and provide related information. The whole feast programme also includes gastronomic stands for the tasting of local dishes, Bardolino Superiore DOCG wine tasting seminars, wine-themed conventions, art, music and sport entertainment and related events.

Rosé Wine: the European Commission’s bans the “coupage” technique for the production of rosé wines
In the new regulations concerning the reform of the EU wine sector, the European Commission maintains the ban on the “coupage” technique for the production of rosé wines, dropping the plans to allow rose wine to be made by mixing red and white!This is definitely a victory not only for tradition and quality, but also for us all, producers of quality-wines, but also of authentic passions and professionalism!

Cantine Aperte 09 - DiWine Floral scents at the Zeni Winery Floral scents: that’s the main theme of the special wine-route that we propose for the coming 31st May, the day dedicated to the 2009 edition of the wine-event Open Cellars (Cantine Aperte).
Besides the free entrance to our Wine Museum, we propose all our guests to enjoy this wine-themed event in the pleasant and emotional atmosphere of our underground barrique-cellar. For this special occasion individual visitors will enjoy free entrance to the barrique cellar to personally discover the sensations provided by the many different floral scents.
A walk along the barriques will introduce visitors to the paintings of Andrea Zanardi, Mantuan artist known for his paintings’ striking chromatic effects. The jazz-trio Corimè ( violin, guitar ad percussion) will gladden the late afternoon hours, from 16:30 to 19, with a live performance in the barrique cellar. Friends, wine-enthusiasts, tourists and curious onlookers are all invited to spend some DiWine time with us!

Il Ministro Luca Zaia incontra i produttori Bardolinesi in Cantina Zeni
Grande onore sia per la Famiglia Zeni che per i tutti i produttori della filiera vitivinicola della zona del Bardolino che, nella mattinata di
Venerdi 22 Maggio, hanno incontrato il Ministro Zaia. Durante la visita si sono discussi i temi di maggior spessore, quali i prezzi delle uve e la produzione dei vini rosati. Contro l'autorizzazione alla produzione dei vini rosati ottenuti dalla pratica del taglio dei vini da tavola bianchi e rossi, proposta dalla Commissione Europea, è stato confermato il massimo impegno da parte del Ministero.
L'incontro ha visto anche la partecipazione della confraternita del Bardolino che ha insignito il Ministro della carica di Ambasciatore del Vino Bardolino.

VINITALY 2009 - Complete restyling of the Zeni stand
“A lifelong tradition, the passion for a job that requires much more than paper qualification, the innovative outburst”. These are the elements that have inspired the architect Fulvia Ferraris in designing the brand new exhibition stand of the Zeni Winery realized for the 2009 edition of Vinitaly. The project, conceived with the aim of “conveying the soul of the firm through shapes and colours”, has then been carried out by Tiziano Roncoletta for Tiziro, Verona.
“Bordeaux and beige, the two main colours characterizing both the firm’s seat and the Zeni winery’s core communication interface, are used alternated on both the walls and on the display window (a sequence of small niches where the singularly displayed product becomes protagonist). The external walls realized in aluminium are lightened by a surface fret-worked with glasses aiming at ironically recalling the whole world of tasting”.

Wine Museum: official closing date of 2008 season
Friday 31.October is the official closing date of the 2008 season of Zeni Wine Museum. The Museum will officially re-open to the public on Sunday, March 15, 2009. From end-October to mid-March the whole range of Zeni wines will still be purchasable at the adjacent Selling Point of the Zeni Winery that remains open to the public during the following opening times: Monday to Friday 9-12 and 14-18.

79° Festa Dell’uva e Del Vino Bardolino – Bardolino Grape and Wine Festival, 2-6 October 2008
A long thematic weekend during which both amateur wine enthusiasts and wine experts come together with the locals to celebrate the wine festival taking place along the shore of the lakeside town of Bardolino from 2. to 6. October. It’s a wine-dedicated festival coinciding with the harvest, whose main role is played by the local wine producers who will be present at the many stands located along the shore of Lake Garda to present their wines and provide related information. The whole feast programme also includes gastronomic stands for the tasting of local dishes, Bardolino Superiore DOCG wine tasting seminars, wine-themed conventions, art, music and sport entertainment and related events. The 2008 edition of the IWSC, London “International Wine and Spirit Competition”, assigned important awards to 5 premium wines of the Zeni Winery.
The SILVER MEDAL (SILVER) was conferred to the following wines, respectively:

CONCOURS MONDIAL DU ROSE’, CANNES 2008
Our Bardolino Chiaretto Vigne Alte 2007 has been recently awarded with a Diploma of Gold Medal at the latest edition of Concours Mondial du Rosè, the renowned wine contest held in Cannes on 27. and 28. April, thus obtaining one of the only two Gold Medals conferred to Italian wines among all the other competitors in the contest.

CONCOURS MONDIAL DE BRUXELLES 2008 – Gold to Cruino and Silver to Bardolino DOCG
DIPLOMA WITH GREAT GOLD MEDAL conferred to our CRUINO Rosso Veronese 2004!
Our CRUINO was awarded one of the Great Gold Medals conferred to 58 International Wines out of the about 6.300 ones taking part in the wine competition. Only three of these 58 gold-winning wines were Italian labels, included our CRUINO!
Honour and merit also for our BARDOLINO SUPERIORE DOCG 2006 which was awarded a DIPLOMA with SILVER MEDAL at the same wine competition!

Our Soave DOC Classico “Marogne” 2006 and Bardolino DOC Chiaretto “Vigne Alte” 2007 are among the 107 labels recently awarded at the 2008 edition of the wine competition Verona Wine Top.
The initiative, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Verona, has further confirmed the huge potential of Verona wines in terms of variety and quality. The 107 awarded labels, that have undergone a rigorous process of selection and analysis, will be worldwide representative of all the DOC areas as well as of the exceptional wines that Verona is able to offer.

All three Amarone wines produced by Cantina F.lli Zeni, Amarone della Valpolicella Barriques 2003, Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2004 and Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Vigne Alte 2004 respectively, have been inserted in the DUEMILAVINI 2008 wine guide edited by A.I.S. (Associazione Italiana Sommeliers) obtaining the prestigious “4 grappoli” (4 grape bunches) - A.I.S. premium quality recognition.
The same recognition of premium quality has also been awarded to two top products of the Marogne Selection, Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso Marogne 2005 and Soave Classico Marogne 2005.

Excellent result has been achieved by our Amarone della Valpolicella Barriques 2004 recently presented at the “Amarone 2004 in anteprima” Preview Event held in Verona on the 25th and 26th January and taking place at Palazzo della Gran Guardia. A very positive judgment on this wine has also been expressed by Angelo Peretti, gourmet-journalist and editor of the online magazine Internet Gourmet, who wrote:

All’olfatto sfoggia parecchio frutto: ciliegiona rossa in primis. E in bocca è proprio in corrispondenza. E il frutto qui è proprio da masticare. Bello, maturo, croccante, carnoso, denso, ma non marmellatoso. E ha quest’Amarone tannino ben definito. E freschezza in equilibrio. Il rovere, certo, è ancora evidente, ma la lunghezza fruttata c'è tutta, e dunque dovrebbe integrarsi.
